Module 3: How can we prevent lead poisoning? - Full version

Module 3 considers the federal goal of eliminating childhood lead poisoning by 2010. It discusses methods of protecting children from (1) lead paint, especially in renovation, repair, and painting activities in homes and schools; (2) lead in water; and (3) lead in other sources, such as soil, consumer items, pottery, and folk medicines. It also explains the importance of good nutrition and identifies lead-safety messages that can be taught to children. This module contains some additional information for school administrators.
